Cornelia Van Redfearn McRae Mt. Pleasant Daily Times Volume XXII Mount Pleasant, Texas, Monday Evening, June 10, 1940 Mrs. B. F. McRae(Cornelia Van Redfearn McRae, widow of Benjamin Franklin McRae) Buried Sunday at Winfield Cemetery ____________________________ Highly Respected Woman Succumbs on Saturday Mrs. B. F. McRae, highly esteemed resident of the Winfield community, passed away at the home of a son, Byron McRae, in the White Oak Springs community, at 3:00 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Mrs. McRae had been in poor health for many months, but recently she bagan to show improvement and went to her son's home for a short visit. While there, though, she became seriously ill and passed away before she could return to her home at Winfield. Deceased was 69 years of age and is survived by two sons Byron and Gilbert. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Grace Spruill of Winfield and five brothers, Eugene, Luther, Clayton, Joe and Edward Redfearn, all of this county, with the exception of the latter who resides in Cass County. Funeral services were held at the Winfield Baptist Church at 3:00 o'clock Sunday afternoon, and interment followed in the Winfield cemetery.
