Where We Are
Ward County is located in the high plains between the panhandle region in the north and the far west regions of Texas,
less than 25 miles south of New Mexico. The county seat is Monahans, located almost in the center of the northeast
quadrant on Interstate 10. Starting in the northwest, the neighboring counties are
Loving,
Winkler up north,
Ector in the northeast,
Crane to the east and
Pecos and
Reeves counties in the south and west.
