Kermit - Joseph E. Henson, 60, of Kermit, a retired truck driver, died Tuesday, July 8, 2003, in Kermit.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Family Services Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Eddie Cotton officiating. Burial will be at Psalm 23 Cemetery. Arrangements by Family Services Funeral Parlor.
He was born in St. Louis, Mo.
Survivors: Wife, Margaret Jane (Bieries) Henson of Kermit; daughter of Iowa Park, Texas; son of Kermit; sisters of Florida, Kermit, Missouri and Illinois; brothers of Sweetwater and Missouri; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was born in River Mines, Mo., and had been a resident of Kermit for 28 years.

The funeral for Jewell Roberta Beckham, a long-time Winkler County resident was held at 10AM Saturday, July 18, 1998 at the First United Methodist Church in Kermit, Texas. Dr. Bervin Caswell of Abilene, retired Methodist minister, officiated at the final rites. Interment was in the family cemetery on the Beckham Ranch in northwestern Winkler County, Texas.
Mrs. Beckham died early Wednesday in Abilene, where she had resided for the past 16 months. A member of two pioneer West Texas ranching families, she was born June 27, 1912 in Thomaston, Texas, the daughter of J.C. (Joe) and Mary Roberta Hollebeke. She moved to Pecos at an early age and was graduated from Pecos High School in 1930. She attended Sul Ross State University at Alpine, Texas. She and William Ernest (Dump) Beckham were married on June 1, 1932 in Loving, New Mexico. He preceded her in death on May 11, 1952. She moved with her husband to the Beckham Ranch southwest of Jal, New Mexico, and they lived there until they started a farming operation in Reeves County, south of Pecos, in the early 1940s. In 1948 they sold the farm and purchased a ranch in Mills County, near Goldthwaite. They sold the Mills County ranch in 1951 and moved back to the Beckham Ranch in Winkler, where she continued to live until February, 1997, when she suffered a stroke and moved to Abilene to be near her daughter, Nell Young. She had been a resident of Winkler County for 46 years. During this time she was a rancher and homemaker and also owned a gift shop in Kermit, Texas.
Mrs. Beckham was a member of First United Methodist Church of Kermit, Kermit Garden Club and the Winkler County Historical Commission.
Survivors included one son, Bill Beckham of Wink; one daughter, Nell Young of Abilene; five grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one grandson, William Ernest (Billy) Beckham in 1990.
