Where We Are
Zapata County is in south Texas, a few miles south of Laredo. The county seat is also named Zapata and both are named for Antonio Zapata, an early rancher in the area. Our neighboring counties are Webb, Jim Hogg, Starr and Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico.
