My great grandfather Francis David Scott POND is buried in IOOF cemetery in Colorado City. I have no knowledge of him being a Civil War Vet, yet he is listed as such as is his brother John Broadway POND. Can someone tell me where this info was obtained? Is there perhaps a marker on his grave. If someone could check the cemetery for me I need to verify his wife, Mary Susan PISTOLE POND is buried next to him. I saw a list from that cemetery one time and she was not listed, however I have folder from funeral home saying she was buried there. In fact I have quite a few relatives buried there. At this time I am recovering from a broken ankle and won't be visiting any cemeteries soon. I don't have the dates in front of me but I think FDS POND died in early twenties and Miss MOLLYdied middle thirties. Are there any other POND or PISTOLE researchers out there? Be glad to share any info I have as well as pictures.Barbara B. Elliott, PO Box 8406, Horeshoe Bay, TX 78657- 8406

I am a direct descendent of Francis David Scott POND who appears on your list as a veteran of the Civil War buried in Colorado City. I do not have that information, nor do I recall it ever being mentioned in the family. He was born in 1848, a little young, but maybe not. His brother John Broadway POND, a Baptist minister was older and is also listed. Would be grateful for details on their service and where this info was obtained.
