My husbands great grandfather was said to have died in Colorado City, TX in 1891. His name was George Washington Harley. He was married to an Emily or Emely McCreight, who later evidently moved to and died in Oklahoma in Kiowa County. We are looking for his grave. Does the library in Colorado City have such a listing. Would there be a death certificate for such an event way back in 1891 and if so, we are thinking of visiting the area and need information as to the location of the courthouse and library. There is an 1880 census for Mitchell County, but he was still living in Mississippi at the time and moved to Colorado City sometime between 1880 and 1891 when he died in Colorado City. There does not appear to be an 1890 census online. Do you know if that is at the library. He would probably be listed in it. He also had a son, William Baxter Harley (my husband's grandfather) with him, who eventually moved to Graham and died there in the 1920's. Is there also a newspaper at the time and if so, does the library have it on microfiche or something like that? Thanks in advance for ANY help. We really appreciate it. Even if you have no information, just drop me a line and let me know.

I am looking for info on a marriage around 1898-1899. The husband was Charles Adams and the wife an Ella Mae?
